Mierl Leads after Day One

DUNCAN, Okla. – Trevor Mierl of Cameron men's golf leads the individuals after two rounds of the Hrnciar at the Territory Golf Club. The Aggies are in second place after two rounds.

Mierl opened the day by shooting a (-2) 70 in the first round. Before closing the day with a (-5) 67, he holds a one-stroke lead on the field. The Black-and-Gold recorded a two-round score of (-3) 288-285—573.

Hamish Murray recorded a 70-71—141 and is tied for seven place heading into day two. Preston Holmes is tied for 14th after shooting a 73-74—147. Chris Somerfield is tied for 19th place with a card of 75-73—148. Joey Kirk had a two-round score of 77-75—152 to sit tied for 40th place.

Carson Wright led CU's B team and recorded a 72-74—146 to be in 13th place. Ethan Parker is tied for 19th after scoring 77-71—148. Zachary Siaca shot a 73-78—151, sitting tied for 37th place. Hunter Drotts is tied for 40th with a two-round card of 76-76—152. Cole Luber is currently in 61st place after shooting 80-81—161.

Oklahoma Christian leads the teams after shooting (-12) in the second round to extend their lead after recording a 279-276—555.

The field will wrap up the tournament by teeing off from the 1st and 10th holes starting at 8:30 am.
