Cameron Places Sixth in LSC Championship

Wichita Falls, Texas – Cameron women's cross country turned in their best finish at the Lone Star Conference Championship at the River Creek Golf Course hosted by Midwestern State.

Cameron would finish sixth as a team with 188 points beating Texas A&M International by four points. Dallas Baptist would win the championship with a score of 33. Florance Uqajeneza of West Texas A&M would win the race with a time of 20:50.9.

Daesha Brathwaite and Belle Vignes would lead the Aggies. Brathwaite recorded a 22nd-place finish with 23 minutes and 34.6 seconds, and Vignes had a time of 23:36.0 to place 23rd.

Genevieve Young finished in 41st place with a time of 24:39.0, Malethabo Seema had a time of 24:46.5 to come in 46th place, and Mathilde Winther rounded out CU's top five placements with a time of 24:56.9, finishing in 56th.

Additional Aggies competing: Alejandra Collier (26:01.4), Evalynn Pedroza (26:14.9), Arian Spears (26:43.3), and Delicia Delgadillo (26:45.4).

Cameron will run in the South Central Regional in Denver on Nov. 19.
