Kenny takes over the Cameron spirit program, was a cheerleader and dancer at Division I High Point from 2010-2014 where she earned her B.A. for Communications and majored in journalism with a minor in dance.
"My goal for this season is to continue the established Cameron traditions while improving the game atmosphere for both our athletes and fans," said Kenny about her expectations for the CU spirit teams. "I want our teams to reflect the university in a positive manner all while entertaining and growing our community involvement."
Since graduation, Kenny has done a variety of jobs including a dance instructor and video producer for Revolution Dance and a stint as a performer and dancer at Walt Disney World. She has a wide variety of skills including running events and organizing and engaging with athletes, fans, and guests.
"During my time in college (High Point), I was a member of both the cheerleading team and the dance team. I have experienced both sides and understand how they work together. I'm thrilled to be able to work with these two teams and use my experience from college, coaching and performing at Walt Disney World to better this program."
Kenny and her husband came to Lawton/Ft. Sill through her husband's career in the Marine Corps. She has recently started her own military pride apparel small business "At Ease Apparel" that she currently runs when not coaching.
