ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – Cameron's second round of a 301 dropped them five slots in the rankings after the first day. The Aggies will tee off in the final round at the NCAA West Regional Preview at the Foxtail Golf Club on Tuesday in sixth place.

CU recorded a two-round score of 283-301—584 to be tied for sixth, trailing Sonoma State and Cal State San Marcos, who is tied for the lead with a score of 572. SSU's Griffin Pace, Hawai'i Hilo's Keith Ng, Matthew Pennington of Cal State San Marcos, and Jordan Lee of Western Washington hold the top spot on the field with a score of 139.

The Black-and-Gold had the second least pars on day one with 89 but led the field with 40 birdies. Hunter Drotts led Cameron with 11 birdies, Hamish Murray made 10, Preston Holmes sunk eight, Chris Somerfield connected on seven, and Trevor Mierl had four. As an individual, Joey Kirk hit three birdies and made an eagle.

Drotts holds a four-way tie for seventh after the second round after shooting a 67-76—142. Somerfield carded a 70-76—146 to be tied for 23rd. Tied for 29th is Murray, who recorded a 73-74—147 on day one. Holmes shot a 73-76—149 and is tied for 44th after two rounds, and Mierl is tied for 102nd after carding a 77-82—159.

Kirk is tied for 76th with a day-one total of 76-77—153.

The Aggies will open the third round on a shotgun start at 8:00 am PDT.
