THACKERVILLE, Okla. – The Cameron women's golf shot 301 in both rounds on Monday to rank 10th in the Lone Star Conference Championship at WinStar Golf Club – Scissortail Course.
The Aggies scored a day one 301-301—602 while making 99 pars and 22 birdies. Maelle Dreyer and Ellie Fellers made six birdies, Emma Englefield had five, Maria Jose Savoca sunk four, and Ashley Davis added one birdie.
Dreyer leads CU in 23rd place after shooting a 76-72—148. Englefield and Fellers finished the opening day tied for 35th. Englefield recorded a 76-76—152, while Fellers turned in a 74-78—152.
Davis and Savoca ended up tied for 50th place. Davis shot a 79-77-156, while Savoca turned in an 80-76—156.
Second-ranked Dallas Baptist leads the field with a 561, and DBU's Faith DeLaGarza has a two-stroke lead over two of her teammates for the individual crown.
Round three will be a shotgun starting at 8:00 am on Tuesday.
