Rome, GA- After day two of the ITA Cup, Jenna Goessel and Anastasia Uspenskaia have earned a spot in the semi-finals. In their first-round match they took down a strong doubles pair from Auburn University at Montgomery. The Aggies led the way in both sets by taking an early lead, but the tenacious Ibarra and Garcia battled back each set to keep the pressure on the #2 seeds to wrap up the match taking the second set 6-4 for the 6-3, 6-4 win.

Round two didn't turn into any easier of a challenge for the Aggies. Audelo and Brady from Point Loma Nazerene University came out with the early lead when Uspenskaia and Goessel jumped back in with a quick break to keep the edge throughout the first closing it out 6-4. They jumped into the second set getting up 4-1, then 5-2 but the Sea Lions battled back to 5 all when Uspenskaia gets a big hold of serve to take the lead 6-5. Jenna and Anastasia lock in their place in the semi-finals with a service break to take the match 6-4, 7-5.

The Aggies will take on #4 seed Valentina Mutilba and Shaira Rivera of West Alabama in their semi-final showdown at 2:30pm CST Saturday, October 12^th.
