LAWTON, Okla. — Cameron fought hard Thursday afternoon at the Streich-Henry Tennis Complex, but Lubbock Christian ultimately secured a 5-2 victory in Lone Star Conference play.

In doubles play, the Aggies picked up a key win from the duo of Adel Ismagulova and Isabella Quintero on the No. 2 court, defeating Oshini Herath and Alexandra Luders 6-3. Despite the effort, Lubbock Christian claimed the doubles point by taking the No. 1 and No. 3 courts to clinch the doubles point.

In singles play, Jenna Goessel delivered a three-set comeback on the No. 1 court, bouncing back after dropping the first set to win 3-6, 6-2, 6-2. Alexa Garcia added another point for the Aggies with a straight-set performance on the No. 3 court, 6-1, 6-1. The Lady Chaps picked up points on the No. 4 and No. 2 courts in three-set matches, and clinched the match with a win on the No. 5 court. To finish out the day, Lubbock Christian picked up a point on the No. 6 court to make the match 5-2.
