Lawton, OK - The Aggies went 0-3 on the weekend, losing to Southwestern Oklahoma, Texas A&M International, and Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Aggies will be back in action at
Aggie Gym on Monday October, 21Â vs. Southern Nazarene.
Game 1 (How It Happened vs. SWOSU)
SET 1 |Â Cameron's defense started out hot, with
Hailey Baker and
Jennifer Valdez contributing crucial kills. Cameron's defense, led by
Haley Beggs and
Kayla Eggiman, tried to respond, contributing with solid blocks, but the Aggies struggled with errors. Despite a few late kills by Valdez and Eggiman, SWOSU maintained control, finishing the set on top with a score of 25-16.
SET 2 |Â The set saw five ties, with Cameron improving on both offense and defense.
Hailey Baker continued to lead the charge for the Aggies with powerful kills, while
Kayla Eggiman added valuable contributions at the net.Â
Rachael White facilitated the offense with well-placed sets, allowing Baker and
Jennifer Valdez to find gaps in the SWOSU defense. However, service errors proved costly for Cameron, and SWOSU was able to come back and win the set 25-18.
SET 3 |Â The Aggies started off with solid contributions from
Hailey Baker and
Kayla Eggiman, who added key kills to keep the set competitive early on.
Rachael White continued to distribute assists effectively, keeping the offense moving. Cameron fought hard to stay in the game, with Eggiman and Baker both making late pushes, but the Aggies couldn't keep up the consistency. Errors lead to SWOSU winning the set 25-15.
Game 2 (How It Happened vs. TAMIU)
SET 1 |Â Cameron kept the game close, tying the score 12 times.Â
Hailey Baker and
Jennifer Valdez led the team with solid kills, and the Aggies made some crucial blocks, with
Haley Beggs and Baker combining on key plays. Cameron fought hard, but a late push by TAMUI secured the set at 25-23.
SET 2 |Â TAMIU came out strong, taking control early in the set, TAMIU jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead.Â
Hailey Baker managed to break a TAMIUÂ run with a kill from an assist by
Emily Keohen.Â
Jennifer Valdez added some key contributions, but the Aggies lost 25-16, despite their attempts.
SET 3 |Â Despite the early deficit, Cameron managed to cut the lead to 7-5 thanks to Baker's offensive efforts and a key block by
Haley Beggs and
Riley McFarland.Â
Hailey Baker continued to fight, registering a few more kills to keep Cameron in the game. Cameron managed a few late points, including a service ace from
Tatum Gehring and a kill by
Jennifer Valdez, but it wasn't enough to close the gap. The Aggies lost 25-16.Â
Game 3 (How It Happened vs. TAMU-Kingsville)
SET 1 | TAMUK quickly built a lead, and Cameron found it difficult to close the gap. Cameron's Haley Baker tried to get things going for her team, managing a kill that put them on the board, setter Emily Keohen, worked to organize the offense, but TAMUK defense and blocking, led by Jackson, made it tough for the Aggies. Carsen Glaser and Rhayan Earl contributed on the defensive side, with Earl managing three blocks in the set, slowing down the TAMUK hitters. The set ended with Cameron managing 9 points as TAMUK won 25-9.
SET 2 | Haley Baker continued to lead the charge for Cameron, racking up several kills throughout the set. Rachael White also stepped up, providing key assists and serving, adding two service aces during this set. Carsen Glaser and Rhayan Earl made significant contributions at the net, with Earl recording multiple block assists. Despite a strong fight from Cameron and some standout individual performances, TAMUK was able to close out the set 25-22.
SET 3 | Haley Baker once again led the Aggies' offense, contributing key kills that helped Cameron stay competitive throughout the set. Baker received strong support from Rachael White, who continued to be the play maker, distributing assists and keeping Cameron's offense running. White's smart setting created opportunities for Baker and others like Jennifer Valdez and Carsen Glaser, who both came in with timely kills during the set. Earl and Baker combined for several blocks, trying to slow down TAMUK hitters. Cameron fought back to tie the score multiple times, but TAMUK managed to pull away in the final points, losing 25-19.
