Men’s Tennis Loses Thriller to Harding 4-3

Box Score Norman, Okla- The Men's Tennis Team traveled to Norman, OK to play Harding in their Division II opener Sunday morning. Weather pushed the match indoors at the University of Oklahoma's Greg Wadley Tennis Pavilion in a match that went the distance to decide the outcome for Harding.

The Bison took the doubles point quickly winning at #1 6-1 against Preto and Edwards and 6-2 at #2 against Milliard and Boilevin. The Aggies bounced back into the singles taking the first win 6-3, 6-2 at #5 with Freshman Lukas Janoušek in his first match of the season playing the #5 spot. Louis Boilevin was unable to pull of the win at #1 against the #4 ranked player in the nation losing 6-4, 7-5. Freshmen Noé Milliard and Raphael Valente both pick up big wins for the Aggies at numbers 2 & 4. The match was ultimately decided with two three-set battles went to the Bison to clinch the match 4-3.

The men will regroup and make some adjustments and will hopefully step back on court on February 18th in Plano, TX against two nationally ranked junior college teams. The men will host Seward County Community College at the Streich-Henry Tennis Complex February 25th at 1pm.
