Tyler, Texas- Cameron's Women's Tennis team takes a 7-0 loss to the nationally ranked #12 West Alabama in their first match of the weekend in Tyler, TX. The match was highlighted by a doubles showcase of the top two nationally ranked doubles teams between West Alabama's #1 Rivera and Mutilba against Cameron's #2 Uspenskaia and Goessel where the top ranked team captured the set 6-4. The Tigers were able to take the doubles point with additional wins at both #2 and #3 doubles.
In the singles, due to injury Cameron dropped the #6 spot by forfeit. The Aggies continued to compete through the remaining matches finding both
Anastasia Uspenskaia at #1 singles and
Alexsa Paucar at #5 singles pushing their opponents to third set match tiebreaks.
The Aggies will be back in action tomorrow against #9 nationally ranked Auburn Montomery at 11am as they continue on their weekend crossover with Gulf South Conference teams in Tyler, TX.
