Lawton, OK — Cameron Tennis hosted a high-stakes tennis doubleheader on Thursday afternoon, facing off against Dallas Baptist University in both men's and women's matchups. The event showcased a strong display of athleticism and depth from both Aggie squads.
Men's Sweeps DBU, 7-0
The Cameron men's tennis team delivered a flawless 7-0 performance against DBU, controlling the match from start to finish. In doubles, the Aggies claimed all three matches to secure the opening point. The pairing of Noe Milliard and Kristian Kubik led the charge with a 6-2 win at the No. 1 position, followed by 6-4 victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots.
Momentum carried into singles play, where the Aggies did not drop a single match. Louis Boilevin secured a dominant 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles. Additional straight-set wins came from Milliard, Preto, and Edwards, while Kubik and Janousek clinched close three-set battles to complete the sweep.
Women's Team Falls Just Short in 4-3 Battle
In an intensely contested match, the Cameron women's team fell just short to DBU with a final score of 4-3. After dropping the doubles point, the Aggies responded with strength in singles play. Martyna Jankowska secured a straight-sets win at the top position, while Anastasia Uspenskaia emerged victorious in a tight three-set battle at No. 2 singles. Jenna Goessel added another win at the No. 3 spot, leveling the score.
Despite a strong effort, Cameron was unable to overcome DBU's momentum in the lower singles positions, with the Patriots claiming victories at No. 4, 5, and 6 singles to close out the match.

With the men's team building on their momentum and the women's squad gaining valuable experience in a tightly fought contest, Cameron Tennis continues to demonstrate competitive strength as the season progresses.
