LSC Men's Tennis Championship bracket set

Championship Central

The five-team field has been announced for the 2025 Lone Star Conference Men's Tennis Championship, which will be held May 1-3 (Thursday-Saturday) at Arlington Tennis Center in Arlington, Texas. Punching tickets are UT Tyler, Lubbock Christian, UT Permian Basin, Midwestern State and Cameron.

UT Tyler (21-1 overall) is the No. 1 seed after claiming the regular season title with a perfect 8-0 league record. The Patriots have won three LSC crowns and are the defending tournament champions. They also won this event in 2022. UT Tyler enters on a league-best 18-match winning streak. The Patriots received a first-round bye.

Lubbock Christian (18-1, 7-1 LSC) is the No. 2 seed and will open with a semifinal match against No. 3 seed UT Permian Basin (12-7, 5-3 LSC) on Friday at 9 a.m. CT.
No. 4 seed Midwestern State (13-5, 5-3 LSC) and No. 5 Cameron (8-9, 4-4 LSC) will play the only quarterfinals match on Thursday at 9 a.m. MSU has won this event three times (2019, 2018 and 2013) and CU raised the tourney trophy in 2023.

The MSU-CU winner will face UT Tyler in the semifinals on Friday at 9 a.m. CT.

The championship match is set for Saturday at 9 a.m. CT.

The tournament format is three, 6-game set doubles matches with a 7-point tiebreak at 6-all. Following doubles matches, teams will play six best-of-three set singles matches. Once one team reaches four points, remaining singles matches will be abandoned.

The winner of the conference tournament will be named the LSC Men's Tennis Tournament champion and earn the league's automatic qualification to the 2025 NCAA Division II Championship.
