Women's Basketball Comes Up Short Against Midwestern State, 92-87

Lawton, Oklahoma - On Thursday evening, the Cameron University women's basketball team fell to Midwestern State University. Cameron grabbed an early lead to start the first quarter, but Midwestern State would capture the lead and extend it, closing the first quarter leading 30-19. The Aggies battled back in the second quarter, with Kloe Heidebrecht scoring 12 of her 28 points in the period to help Cameron cut the lead to 4 points at halftime. Cameron and MSU battled back-and-forth in the third quarter, with the Mustangs holding their lead going into the fourth. The Aggies tied the game up in the final period with a three-pointer by Mercedes Mancha, but Midwestern State would hit free throws down the stretch to close out the game.

  • Kloe Heidebrecht led all scorers with 28 points, and led the Aggies with 7 rebounds.
  • Amina Diallo scored 17 points off the bench, adding 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block.
