Plano, TX - The Cameron University Men's tennis team was defeated by the University of West Alabama, 4-1.

In doubles play, West Alabama claimed the first court, with Gabriel Garay and Sebastio Vilas defeating Santiago Ledesma and Abubakari Yakubu-Lea 6-2. Tom Debonne and Zoheir Fardoun earned a 6-4 victory on the No. 3 court for the Aggies to even up doubles play. The Tigers clinched the doubles point in a tiebreaker on the No. 1 court.

In singles play, #5 Lukas Janousek defeated Gabriel Garay, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) on the No. 1 court to even up the match at 1-1. On the No. 2 court, Noe Milliard fell to West Alabama's Jacob Tapia. Abubakari Yakubu-Lea lost on the No. 4 court in a third-set tiebreaker. On the No. 3 court, Santiago Ledesma dropped a three-set match to Afonso Portugal to make the match 4-1 in favor of West Alabama. The No. 5 and No. 6 courts went unfinished.
