Lawton, Okla. - The Cameron Women's tennis team fell to No. 34-ranked Midwestern State University on Friday afternoon, 5-2.
In doubles play, Cameron won the first doubles court after Alexa Garcia and Daniela Maldonado earned a 6-1 victory on the No. 3 court. No. 32-ranked Jenna Goessel and Nil Kalkavan clinched the doubles point for the Aggies with a 7-5 win on the No. 1 court. On the No. 2 court, Adel Ismagulova and Isabella Quintero fell to No. 8-ranked Emilia Gyorgy and Selin Sepken, 6-4.
In singles play, Adel Ismagulova fell to No. 74-ranked Emilia Gyorgy in straight sets on the No. 2 court. On the No. 4 court, Isabella Quintero dropped a 6-3, 6-1, match to Alessia Dolce. No. 9-ranked Selin Sepken defeated No. 74-ranked Jenna Goessel, 6-3, 6-2, on the No. 1 court. Midwestern State clinched match point after Camila Garcia won in straight sets on the No. 3 court. Daniela Maldonado earned a 6-0, 6-3 victory on the No. 6 court to pick up a singles point. To wrap up the match, MSU's Jasmine Crain defeated Nil Kalkavan, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 on the No. 5 court.
