Lawton, Okla. - Cameron Women's tennis swept Sul Ross State, 7-0, in a Lone Star Conference match up on Thursday afternoon at the Streich-Henry Tennis Complex.
In doubles play, the Aggies won the doubles point after No. 31-ranked
Jenna Goessel and
Nil Kalkavan earned the 6-0 victory on the No. 1 court, and
Adel Ismagulova and
Isabella Quintero picked up a 6-0 win on the No. 2 court.
Alexa Garcia and
Daniela Maldonado won by forfeit on the No. 3 court.
In singles play,
Alexa Lugo defeated Lily Wiser on the No. 3 court 6-0, 6-0, and
Nil Kalkavan earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory on the No. 2 court to put Cameron up 3-0 in the match. On the No. 4 court,
Tiana Braxton clinched match point for Cameron after winning 6-0, 6-0.
Adel Ismagulova picked up the straight-set win over Madalyn Marquez on the No. 1 court, and
Laura Moreno won 6-0, 6-1 on the No. 5 court.
Alexsa Paucar won by forfeit on the No. 6 court.
