Denton, Texas – The Cameron University softball team earned a doubleheader sweep over Texas Woman's on Sunday afternoon at Dianne Baker Field.
In game one, Cameron outlasted TWU in a pitcher's duel, securing a 1-0 victory in 10 innings. Both teams were held scoreless through nine innings as Stormee Reed delivered a dominant performance in the circle. The Aggies broke through in the 10th when Brynn Webber doubled to left center, leading to the game's only run after an error allowed her to score. Reed shut the door in the bottom half, completing the shutout and sealing the win.
In game two, Cameron carried the momentum into a 4-1 win to complete the sweep. The Aggies jumped out early with two runs in the first inning, highlighted by RBI doubles from Haley Gardella and Rylee Ross. TWU answered with a run in the fourth, but Cameron extended the lead in the sixth when Gardella launched a two-run home run. Reed once again controlled the game in the circle, limiting TWU to just one run to secure the victory.
