Biography

2016-17 (Senior): Went 2-4 in singles and 7-7 in doubles in his final season at Cameron. Went 5-3 playing in the two doubles slot with Bruno Babic. Had a dominating singles win against Spring Hill College's No. 5 singles player, getting the 6-0, 6-0 victory. 

2015-16 (Junior): Was 1-4 in doubles play during his third year on campus. Won in singles 6-0, 6-0 and scored 8-3 in doubles with partner Artavazd Knyazyan against Dallas Baptist at the MSU Invitational (9/19-20)... Advanced to the sweet 16 in doubles with Florian Kartner at the ITA Regionals.

2014-15 (Sophomore): Velasco was 2-2 in singles and 10-13 in doubles in his second year playing. Got to play in three doubles matches with his brother Mateo Velasco early in the season. Won his first career singles match on Sep. 19 against Dallas Baptist's Brandon Elliot. 

2013-14 (Freshman): Won his first career doubles match 8-3 against UT-Permian Basin(4/18) with partner Dean Weigelt. Teamed up with Rory de Boer in doubles and won 8-4 against Western New Mexico(5/5) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Went 2-5 in doubles during the season. 

2012-13 (Redshirt): Red shirt his first year at Cameron.
