The Cameron Athletics Hall of Fame will increase by six following an announcement on Monday evening at the Lawton Country Club.  This is the department's eighth class and largest since 2012 to bring the total of individuals recognized to 51.  The inductees will be honored on Feb. 20 for a Hall of Fame Banquet and at CU's homecoming basketball game on Feb. 21 against Angelo State.Debi Covarrubias 
Softball (1996-98) Student Assistant Coach (1998-99)
Graduated in 1999Covarrubias transferred to Cameron after spending two years at Ventura College...third all-time in career wins (28)..third all-time in shutouts (8)...program leader with most no-hitters (3)...pitched three straight no-hitters, with first two as perfect games...all-time leader in winning percentage (.596)...fifth most wins in a season (15 in 1998)...second all-time in strikeouts (252)...team leader in ERA during the 1997 and 1998 season...helped guide CU to a 29 win season in 1998; their fourth best season in program history and gave the program their first winning season in nearly two decades...now teaches in the Oxnard, CA school system.

Media (1947-86)Chief photographer for the Lawton Constitution (1947-86)...Spent thousands of hours covering Cameron Athletics...given many young photographers the practical training and the encouragement to start careers of their own...His photographs have provided the residents of southwest Oklahoma with an accurate and interesting account of the events occurring around them....Inducted into the 1991 Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame.

Most Valuable Player in the 1961 Junior Rose Bowl Game...started both years as an offensive and defensive lineman...Played for Hall of Famers Leroy Montgomery and Charlie Dean and was a teammate to Hall of Famer Bob Kelley...Taught, coached, and was a school administrator for 33 years.

Volleyball & Women's Basketball (1978-80), Student Assistant Volleyball Coach (1980)
Graduated in 1981Smith was a two sport student-athlete in volleyball and basketball...was an outside hitter on teams that won 41 matches in 1978 and 40 matches in 1979... helped guide Aggies to two consecutive O.A.I.A.W. State Championships...averaged over 15 points per game and had career high of 44 points in one game (tied for first all-time)...member of volleyball coaching staff that would win the 1980 NAIA District IX Championship and appear as a National Finalist.
