LAWTON, Okla.—The Cameron University men’s tennis team beat Cowley College today, 9-0 in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Cameron got dominant performances by their doubles teams. Nicolai Ferrigno and Dennis Merdan beat their counterparts 8-4, while Duje Janjic and Dean Weigelt won 8-3. Finally, the pairing of Angelo Lencioni and João Fazendeiro handled their opponent with an 8-0 shutout.

Individually, Ferrigno beat his mean in two sets (6-2, 6-2), while Janjic won in three sets (6-2, 6-7, 10-3). CU also got two set wins from all four of the other players, with Angelo Lencioni only allowing his opponent win one game (6-0, 6-1).

This shutout, CU’s second of the year, puts Cameron’s record at 2-1.

The Aggies will take to the court again on Feb. 16, when thy take on the University of Arkansas-Ft. Smith, in Arkadelphia, Ark.
