FORT SMITH, Ark. -- The #19 ranked Cameron University men's tennis team posted an 8-1 win against at Arkansas-Ft. Smith on Saturday afternoon.

Though the pairing of Nicolai Ferrigno and Dennis Merdan they fell 8-3 to opponents Jorge Salazar and Chris Ramirez.  Cameron won in the rest of their doubles efforts with partners Duje Janjic and Dean Weigelt taking an 8-2 win and Angelo Lencioni and Joao Fazendeiro seizing an 8-5 victory.

The men swept the singles as Ferrigno won 6-1, 6-1 and remained undefeated in his singles matches. Jorge Gerosi posted a 6-3, 6-3 win while Janjic took a 7-6, 6-1 victory. Merdan was successful in his game scoring 6-2, 6-1 and Lencioni and Fazendeiro won their matches 6-0, 6-1; 6-1, 6-0 respectively.

The men now hold a season record of 3-1 and will be playing their second match in Arkansas against Ouachita Baptist on Feb. 17 at noon.
