Grand Junction, Colo. – The Aggie men’s tennis program continued their hot season winning 7-2 over Colorado Mesa on Sunday afternoon in Grand Junction.Â
Cameron swept their doubles matches 3-0 and carried that momentum into singles winning four of their six matches for their ninth win of the season. Overall, the Aggies lone loss has come at the hands of NCAA Division I, UT-Arlington earlier this season.
In doubles, the pairing of Nicolai Ferrigno and Dennis Merdan won 8-4 in the number one slot, Duje Janjic and Dean Weigelt won their match 8-3 in two doubles, while Angelo Lencioni and Joao Fazendeiro battled to a 9-7 win in three doubles.Â
Ferrigno continued to have success in singles winning 6-3, 6-3 in the number one slot, Janjic got a 6-1, 6-3 victory in two singles, Lencioni earned a 6-2, 6-1 win in four singles, while Fazendeiro won 2-6, 6-3, 10-3.  Both Jorge Gerosi and Merdan fell in singles matches for CU.
Cameron will play one more match in Colorado on March 11 at CSU-Pueblo.Â
