Cameron women fall late at Midwestern State

Box Score WICHITA FALLS, Texas –  The Cameron University women's basketball team rallied from 16 points to take a late lead but Midwestern State would sink the go-ahead bucket to win 70-69 on Saturday night.

Cameron's ability to score from outside the arc in the second half gave the Aggies a chance at the end of the night.  Overall, Cameron drilled nine but they connected six off of seven opportunities in the second half.

"Overall I'm really proud of how hard the kids played on the court tonight," said head coach Tom Webb. "They didn't give up and rallied back tonight but it always tough to win on the road and the kids are disappointed in how things turned out for us."

Jazzmine Robinson came out with a season high 23 points to lead the Aggie attack, Christina Caddy put up 14, and Jade Herl chipped in 10; Ali Brown had a double-double with 10 rebounds and 10 points.

Cameron out-rebounded the Mustangs (13-7, 5-4 LSC) 40 to 34 but MSU would shoot the ball better by going 42.6% from the field compared to CU's 33.9%.

The Aggies (9-9, 1-7 LSC) have lost seven of their last eight games and they will travel on Feb. 5-6 to face Texas A&M Commerce and Texas Woman's.
