ARLINGTON, Texas --  Rory de Boer came up with a win in number-2 singles but the Cameron men's tennis team would fall 6-1 to UT-Arlington on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Aggies played competitively in doubles competitions taking four games in each of the three slots.  While in singles play, Dennis Merdan and Joao Fazendeiro fell in second game tiebreakers.
 
"Despite the score we played really, really well," said head coach James Helvey.  "These last two matches are just what we needed to start the season and to gauge out how we are as a group this season and where we are going."
 
Cameron will return to action on Feb. 13 to play Cowley County Community College in Oklahoma City.
