The Golden Suns were able to close out the invite with a 3-1 win over Midwestern State; ATU also has faced Northwestern Oklahoma in Russellville, Ark. and beat the Rangers 3-1. The Golden Suns have a two game winning streak after besting Union (Tenn.) and Trevecca in straight sets.
This will the first meeting between Cameron and Williams Baptist, a NAIA program, who faces Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist on Monday night before playing CU on Tuesday. The Eagles are riding a two game winning streak and against NCAA Division II schools they are 1-1, hosting Henderson and Ouachita Baptist earlier in the season.
Double-Double:Kayla Hebert has a team high eight double-doubles this season after averaging 4.52 assists and 3.00 digs per set.
Second to best:Cameron is second in the Lone Star Conference with 18.27 digs per set, behind Angelo State who is averaging 19.84; nationally the Aggies are 14th best in digs.
