LAWTON – The Cameron University women's tennis team will see their first action of the season and the Aggie men will have their second match of the spring when they travel to Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday.
For the women's program this one their later starts to the year and haven't faced anyone else in dual-play since falling 5-4 to OBU in the fall.  The Aggie women who are number-31 in NCAA Division II will see a 1-1 Lady Bison team who is number-9 at the NAIA level and have Anastasia Baranova ranked second nationally. Â
Cameron (0-1) will counter with
Angie Torres who is number-46 in the ITA Division II national singles ranking.
The Aggie men will look to stay perfect this season with a win against OBU in the fall and against Connors College last week.  Oklahoma Baptist is number-18 nationally in NAIA play and are led the Daniel Aguilera who is number-25 in singles play, and himself and doubles partner Michael Vetter are number-12 in doubles play.Â
Cameron is number-20 nationally in Division II have dominated dual-play in singles with an 11-1 overall record, but are 3-3 in doubles play.Â
Joao Fazendeiro has paced CU this season by posting a 10-1 overall record in singles and has a 42-11 career record.
Following the match on Tuesday, the Cameron men will travel down to the Dallas area to play Collin County CC and Tyler JC for matches this coming Friday and Saturday. The Aggie women will be at home on Monday, Feb. 23 to face Southern Nazarene.
