LAWTON – The Aggie baseball team completed their home-and-home series with Southern Nazarene at McCord field on Saturday, defeating the Crimson Storm 5-1 in game one, and capping the night with a 13-3 victory in their home opener.

Cameron remains undefeated at 7-0 on the season, while Southern Nazarene moves to 0-8.

Southern Nazarene would start game one with a leadoff double and a single up the middle would bring in the run, but Cameron responded with a
Tyler McKinzie homerun in the first inning and
Cole Williams hit one over the center field wall in the second to bring the Aggies up 2-1.

SNU would not find the scoreboard again as Cameron would further their lead in the fourth inning with
Nate Hale stealing home, and
Cody Bower hit a two RBI single in the sixth inning for the 5-1 Aggie victory.

Javarias Banks (1-0) got the win on the mound as he held Southern Nazarene to five hits and struck out 10 Crimson Storm batters.
Logan Fanning pitched the final inning, striking out one and not allowing any hits.

The Aggies would accrue eight hits with McKinzie, Hale, and Bower each recording two on the game.

In game two, Cameron led 2-1 going into the second inning when the Aggie offense exploded for seven runs to go up 9-1.
Cole Williams started the chain with a leadoff homerun, and the Aggies would have three doubles in the inning in addition to a two RBI homer by
Jorden Fields.

Cameron's next big inning came in the fourth for four runs as CU hit back-to-back doubles to start off. A SNU wild pitch would advance CU runners to second and third, and Williams would bring them home with a two RBI double to center field.

Southern Nazarene would score a run in the second, fifth, and sixth innings with only one of the three runs earned as starter
Codey Upton (1-0) picked up the 13-3 win for the Aggies that went to seven innings in a run rule game.

Upton allowed five hits and two runs, striking out five batters with
John Millan fanning three of his own and
Matt Glasmann striking out one in relief.
Â
Brandon Wright went 3-for-3 at the plate for 2 runs and one RBI.
Tyler Cook hit 3-for-4 on the game for two RBI. Hale, Fields, Williams, and Bower each had two hits with Williams bringing in a game high 3 RBI.

Cameron will remain at home for a four game series against William Jewell beginning Feb. 19-21.
