OKLAHOMA CITY – The #20 Cameron women calmed the Crimson Storm with a 9-0 sweep on Thursday rebounding from their 5-4 Tuesday loss to Oklahoma Baptist.
Cameron showed doubles dominance with its two and three slots only allowing one SNU game victory. The number-1 doubles slot was the closest contested pairing of the afternoon with
Zhenia Shviadok and
Alina Gorina winning 8-6.Â
In singles play, the Aggies ran the table on the Crimson Storm with the three through six slots only dropping one game in their match.Â
Paula Gutierrez won in the top singles slot 6-2, 6-0 and
Angie Torres took the number-2 slot to a score of 6-1, 6-3.
The loss will send SNU to 1-1 overall and Cameron will go to 2-1.
CU's next match will be on Feb. 24 at Southeastern Oklahoma.
