LAWTON – Cameron capped the four game series against Tarleton State with a 4-1 victory on Monday afternoon at McCord Field. The finale brings the Aggies their first Lone Star Conference series win this season as they took 3-of-4 games over the Texans.

Cameron recorded ten hits on the day with
Cody Bower leading the Aggies at the plate, hitting 3 for 4 and batted in one run.
Nate Hale stole two bases in the CU win.

The Aggies got on the board first, plating all four runs in the bottom of the third inning in four consecutive at bats. A pair of RBI singles started things off, and CU brought in two more off a sacrifice fly to centerfield concluding the rally with an RBI double.

Tarleton State's only run came in the top of the fourth as Alec Humphreys doubled and later scored on a passed ball. The Texans ended the day with seven hits and two errors.

Blake Welch (1-0) earned his first win on the mound; he fanned four batters and allowed four hits in six innings of work.
John Millan picked up his first save, striking out two in the ninth inning.

Next, the Aggies (16-7, 5-7 LSC) will hit the road for a four game series at Angelo State beginning March 24-46.
