LAWTON – Cameron opened their four game series against Eastern New Mexico with a 6-3 win on Friday evening at McCord Field.

The Aggies out-hit ENMU 9 to 6 with
Brandon Wright recording multiple hits in a 2 for 4 day at the plate with 1 RBI. The Aggies lone double came from
Jonathan Reyes who brought in two runs in the bottom of the third.

CU's starter
Dirk Masters (2-3) earned the win on the mound as he struck out 10 Greyhound batters. In six innings of work, Masters allowed one run and three hits.
John Millan picked up his third save of the season as he faced two batters in the ninth inning, walking one but getting the final strikeout of the Aggies' 13 total.

ENMU's Nick DeArmond (0-4) was charged with the loss. DeArmond pitched two innings where he walked five and allowed one hit and three Aggie runs.

The victory moves the Aggies to 18-10 overall and 7-10 in the Lone Star Conference, while Eastern New Mexico drops to 9-22 overall and 2-15 in the league.

Cameron started the scoring off in the bottom of the second on an RBI single. The Aggies furthered their advantage to four, with Reyes' double plating two in the third inning and an RBI single brought in another in the fifth.

The Greyhounds would score their first run in the top of the sixth on an RBI single, but Cameron responded in the bottom half to bring two more in for the 6-1 lead. ENMU would score a run in the eighth and ninth innings, but it would not be enough to reach the Aggies as Cameron took game one 6-3.

The Aggies return to the diamond to continue their series with Eastern New Mexico Saturday with a double header start at 1 p.m.
