MARYVILLE, MO– The No. 17 Cameron women's tennis team remains undefeated on the road (5-0) following a 5-0 sweep of Northwest Missouri State on Friday. CU's victory improves them to 11-2 overall, while Northwest Missouri State falls to 6-8 on the year.
The Aggies got off to a strong start on the doubles side with a sweep as
Alina Gorina and
Zhenia Shviadok in CU's top doubles pairing made quick work of their opponents in a solid 8-1 victory.
Angie Torres and
Samantha Wood in the second pairing and Paula Guiterrez and
Mathilde Thibaudat in the third pairing each won 8-6.
In singles action,
Zhenia Shviadok in the third slot defeated Gallardo Andrea 6-2, 6-3, while
Samantha Wood in the fifth singles spot captured a 6-1 first set win and followed up with a 6-0 sweep in her second.

Mathilde Thibaudat and
Angie Torres' matches would go unfinished.
The Aggies will remain at home for their next three matches starting with Dallas Baptist on April 5 at the Streich-Henry Tennis Complex.
