LAWTON – The No. 17 Cameron women's tennis program won their fourth match in a row beating No. 47 Dallas Baptist 8-1 on Wednesday.

Cameron swept singles play to move up to 12-2 this season after the match was delayed for a day due to high winds in Lawton.Â

In doubles, the Aggies lone loss of the afternoon came in its two-slot.Â
Paula Gutierrez and
Mathilde Thibaudat won their sixth match in a row 8-6 in three-slot and in the top doubles spot
Alina Gorina and
Zhenia Shviadok won 8-4.

In singles,
Zhenia Shviadok and
Samantha Wood were both pushed to a third set. Shviadok won three-singles 7-6 (4), 4-6, 10-7, and Wood rallied back to win in five-singles 6-7 (5), 7-5, 13-11.  No. 19
Paula Gutierrez picked up her ninth top singles win of the year in dual play 6-3, 6-1.

With the loss to the Aggies, Dallas Baptist is now 7-8 this season.

Cameron will return to courts to play Seward County and Seminole State in Lawton on Saturday.
