LAWTON – No. 17 Cameron picked up a sweep over No. 4 Seward CC in Lawton for their fifth win a row on Saturday.
The Aggies opened with a 3-0 sweep in doubles over Seward CC.
Alina Gorina and
Zhenia Shviadok took down the Saints No. 25 ranked pairing 8-1;
Paula Gutierrez and
Mathilde Thibaudat won their seventh match in a row in the three-slot 8-3.
In singles, Cameron rolled through the order for the team's eighth sweep of the season. Gutierrez rallied in the top-slot over the No. 15 ranked junior college player, 6-3, 5-7, 10-5.
Seward CC who is fourth in the ITA Junior College rankings fell to 17-5; Cameron will climb to 13-2 overall.
The afternoon contest scheduled with Seminole State was postponed to a date to be announced later.
Cameron will return to Lone Star Conference action at Midwestern State on Apr. 11.
