SOUTHLAKE, Texas – The No. 17 ranked Aggie Women's tennis team are still in search of their first win of the spring as they lost to No. 9 St. Mary's 7-2 on Friday.
The match started promising with CU's one doubles team of
Zhenia Shviadok and
Mathilde Thibaudat winning 8-1, but
Paula Gutierrez and
Samantha Wood fell in the second spot 8-4 and
Viola Lugmayr and
Magdalena Kovinic lost 8-3, putting the Aggies down 2-1 after the three doubles' matches.
In Singles, CU's lone win came in the two spot when Shviadok won in the second spot 3-6, 7-6 (7-0), 11-9, while Gutierrez  and Thibaudat lost in three sets and Wood, Koviniv, and Lugmayr all lost in two sets in their singles matches.
The Rattler's are 5-0 on the season and are at the top of the South Central region, while the Aggies are in second.
The Aggies will turn around and play the No. 22 ranked Academy of Art in Southlake, Texas on Saturday, starting at noon.
