SOUTHLAKE, Texas – The Cameron women's tennis team lost their second straight match to a top-25 ranked opponent as they fell to Academy of Art on Saturday, 7-2.
 
The Aggies lost all three doubles matches, putting them in a 3-0 hole to begin the match. Zhenia Shviadok and Mathilde Thibaudat fell 8-0 in the one doubles match, while Paula Gutierrez and Samantha Wood lost 8-4 in the second spot and Viola Lugmayr and Magdalena Kovinic fell 8-3.
 
CU's lone points came in the second and fourth doubles' matches. Shviadok won 6-3, 6-2 in the two spot and Thibaudat won 6-3, 5-7, 10-4 in the four spot. Gutierrez, Wood, Kovinic, and Lugmayr each lost in two sets in their matches.
 
The No. 22 ranked Knights remain unbeaten at 4-0 with the win, while the No. 17 ranked Aggies are now 1-3.
 
CU will have a quick turnaround as they host Nebraska-Kearney for a scrimmage on Sunday at 11 a.m. in a match that was scheduled to be played on Monday.
