KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Aggie baseball team scored four runs in the final two innings to take down no. 25 Texas A&M-Kingsville in game one of a four game weekend series.
The CU win moves them to 16-6 on the season, while the Javelinas are now 11-5.
TAMUK scored the only runs of the first seven innings in the top of the first, as Jimmy Roche hit a two RBI double to right center to put them up 2-0 early.
Both teams were scoreless in the fifth through seventh innings until CU tied up the game with two runs in the top of the eighth inning.
Cody Bower drove in both runs on a two RBI single that scored
Bronson Pulgados and
Colton Adams.
In the top of the ninth, after a walk and a fielder's choice put two runners on base, Pulgados reached on a fielder's choice of his own that ended up scored
Leno Ramirez due to a throwing error by the Javelinas first baseman. CU added a run in the next at bat as pinch runner
David Madigan came in to score on an Adams RBI bunt single to put the black and gold up 4-2.

Javarias Banks came into the game in the bottom of the ninth and recorded three strikeouts to get his third save of the season.
Reid Garret recorded his second win of the season as he went the first eight innings, giving up two runs on eight hits with four strikeouts.
Bower went 2-5 and had two RBI, while Pulgados led CU with three hits.
The series will continue on Saturday, as the two teams play a doubleheader consisting of two seven inning games with the first one starting at 1 p.m.
