Biography
2017 (Senior): Named the LSC Preseason Player of the Year. Started in 49 games for CU and played in all 50 during his senior campaign. Hit .374 with 42 runs scored and 50 RBI while hitting nine homers. He had the highest slugging percentage on the team at .636 with 26 of his 70 hits going for extra bases. Bower also recorded a .976 fielding percentage with 78 putouts and two outfield assists. Recorded 20 games with multiple hits and 17 with multiple RBI. Bower's best game came when he had three homers and two triples in a 6-6 effort, scoring five runs and driving in seven against SWOSU on February 10. He also had a total of 10 RBI in the series sweep of Texas A&M-International. Two time LSC Hitter of the Week. Named to the All-LSC First Team, the LSC All-Tournament Team, and the NCBWA All-South Central Region Second Team. Â
2016 (Junior): In the win over #19 SAU, he went 2-4 at the plate with a double and a homerun with 2 RBIs. He went 8-13 at the plate against SNU (2/12-2/13), with 1 double, 5 RBIs, 3 stolen bases and scored 4 runs... In the series sweep over William Jewell (2/19-21), he had 6 RBIs, with 2 Homeruns, 1 double, and scored 5 times... In the game against Kingsville (3/5), he went 3-3 at the plate with a double, 2 RBIs and 1 run scored... In the series against Tarleton (3/19-3/21), he went 5-21 at the plate with 2 doubles, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored... In the weekend series against Angelo (3/24-3/26), he went 6-14 at the plate with 2 RBIs and 1 double... In the series against ENMU (4/1-4/3), he went 6-15 at the plate with 6 RBIs, 1 double, 2 stolen bases and 4 runs scored... In the win against Lubbock Christian (4/5), he went 4-6 at the plate with 2 homeruns, 3 RBIs, and 4 runs scored... In the series against Kingsville (4/8-4/9), he hit 1 double, 1 homerun, had 1 RBI, a stolen base and 2 runs scored... In the series against #21 West Texas (4/16-4/17), he had 1 double, 4 RBIs, and 1 run scored... Went 4-12 at the plate with a homerun, a double, 2 RBIs, and 3 runs scored in the series against Tarleton State (4/23-24). In the win against Angelo (5/1), he had a walk-off single to score the winning run in the 10th inning.
Junior College: Played one year at Midland Junior College... In 32 games, he hit .233 with five homers and 17 RBI.
High School: Graduated from St. Dius X High School where he lettered in both baseball and hockey... Was named to the all-state, all-district, and all-metro teams his junior and senior years... Helped his team when a district championship in 2012 and a state championship in 2013.
