LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron women's tennis team faced their conference foe Midwestern State on Monday afternoon and fell 6-3 to move to 2-1 in Lone Star Conference play.
 
CU is now 11-10 overall to go with their two wins and one loss in league play, while the Mustangs are now 17-3 and 3-0 in the LSC.
 
The match started with some exciting doubles action. MSU got the first point, winning the three doubles match by a score of 8-3, but both the one and two matches went to a tie-breaker. In the ones match, the 24-ranked pairing of Zhenia Shviadok and Mathilde Thibaudat won 7-4 in extra play, while Paula Gutierrez and Samantha Wood fell 7-5 after going to a tie-breaker.
 
In singles, Gutierrez and Shviadok got Cameron wins in the one and two matches, but that would be all they got as Wood fell in three sets in the four match, while Thibaudat, Magdalena Kovinic, and Jordan Allison fell in two sets in their matches.
 
The Aggies will continue to finish out their season with LSC matches as they head to New Mexico on April 14 to take on Western New Mexico.
