LAWTON, Okla. – The No. 21 Cameron men's tennis team will be looking to claim their fifth straight South Central Regional title as they host No. 25 Midwestern State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Streich-Henry Tennis Complex.

The Aggies enter the regional with a five match win streak and a 16-10 overall record as the second seed in the region against third-seed MSU who is 14-10 overall with nine wins over ranked teams.
This will be the third time in less than a month that CU and MSU have played each other, with Cameron winning 6-3 at home and 5-4 in the LSC Championship final to take their first ever conference tournament crown.
On Cameron's side in the first singles spot is the league's player of the year,
Vinicius Santos. Santos is 16-6 on the season and ranked No. 29 in the nation while being the region's top singles player.
He will square off against No. 30 Ramon Toyos, who the Aggie has defeated twice in three sets this year, both in the regular season and LSC championship when Santos was previously ranked No. 50 and Toyos No. 9 nationally. Toyos is second in the region in singles play.
Playing in the second singles spot is the tenth best player in the region,
Bruno Babic (13-9), against 13th regionally ranked Angel Palacios. Babic defeated Palacios 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 during the regular season but fell 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 in the LSC title match.
Third slot
Felipe Oyarzun (12-12) is 15th regionally versus 19th regionally ranked Dylan Hall who Oyarzun has defeated in both matches, 7-5, 6-0 in the regular season and 6-3, 6-4 in the tournament.
On the doubles side, Oyzarzun joins
Mateo Velasco for CU's top paring as they are ranked No. 11 in the nation and second in the South Central. They will battle No. 13 and third regionally ranked Ramon Toyos/ Dillon Pineda who they beat 8-3 in the LSC opener but fell to that same score in the tournament.

MSU has one other doubles paring of Angel Palacios / Dylan Hall ranked tenth in the South Central.
In the other South Central Region matchup, Heartland Conference champion St. Mary's (Texas) plays host to Western New Mexico with the two regional winners advancing to the round of 16 at the Sanlando Park Tennis Center, May 9-12, in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
