Looking Forward: Cameron will play two non-conference matches against two Great American Conference teams. For their first match, CU will play Henderson State for the first time in 20 years for their sixth overall meeting. HSU went 2-2 at Tarleton State's tournament last week under first year head coach Phil McDaniel. The Reddies have three averaging at least three kills per set with Courtney Bolf leading them with 3.36 kills per set and had a double-double in both wins in kills and digs. Primary setter Sariah Boney also notched two double-doubles but in assists and digs and is the team leader in both categories. The team also returns senior libero Sydney Skelton, a second team All-GAC selection in 2016.

Host ECU is still looking for their first win as they went 0-4 at Washburn's Invitational. The Tigers were swept in three of their four matches, while claiming just one set in a 1-3 loss to Drury. ECU returns seven seniors, four of which were 2016 starters plus ten new players along with first-year head coach Melissa Anderson. Alex Campbell leads the Tiger offense averaging 2.17 kills per set while libero Lily Porsa highlights the defense averaging 4.83 digs per set. Cameron will get a good look at the Tigers before facing them again in Lawton on October 3rd.

Looking Back: The Aggies opened their 2017 season by going 1-3 at the South Central Classic last weekend. CU fell in straight sets to Southern Nazarene but bounced back to get their first win under new head coach Tatiana Booth by defeating Southern Arkansas 3-1 on Friday. On day two, the Aggies could not close to fall in five set decisions to Dallas Baptist and Ouachita Baptist.

Paige Dixon had three straight matches were she tallied double figures in kills and knocked down 54 total during the weekend landing her a spot on the all-tournament team. She also broke her career high kill record by three after her 17 kill match against SAU. Ania Keene also notched a career high 18 kills versus DBU and followed that up with 11 kills against OBU. Newcomer and junior transfer Ashleigh McFatridge recorded two double figure kill matches while also assisting with 14 blocks during the invite.

Senior transfer Brook Conley also posted big numbers as a setter, recording 96 assists on day two of the invite with DBU and OBU. Junior transfer Britnee Altic followed up on defense with a match high 31 digs in the nightcap.

Looking Ahead: Next up for the Aggies is their first home match with USAO on Sept. 12 before they enter Lone Star Conference action on the road that weekend with UT Permian Basin and West Texas A&M. Then CU will enter a six match home stand.

From the head coach: "This Friday will be a big refocus for us," head coach Tatiana Booth said. "Overall, we loved what we saw at the South Central Classic, but our goal this week is that every time we break out of our huddle that we will be finished. Finish is our word of the week. We're still trying to find that middle ground, and it was opening weekend with 12 new players out of 17, so we still have to find that groove. Overall I was highly impressed with what we did last weekend."
