CANYON, Texas – Cameron University's baseball team lost the final two games of a four game Lone Star Conference series at No. 7 West Texas A&M on Monday, losing game one 9-2 and game two 12-2 in seven innings.

The Aggies had a tough getting anything going in game one as they struck out nine times and totaled just six hits. CU's runs came in the fourth inning on a
Briton Schiewe homer and then in the sixth when
Colton Adams drove in
Micah Kaaukai on a sacrifice fly.

On the other side of the diamond, the seventh ranked Buffs struck for nine runs on 13 hits. They scored four in the first, one in the second, three in the fourth and one in the fifth. Luis Amaro had the big game at the plate for WT, going 2-3 with five RBI.

Skyler Henderson was on the mound for the Aggies all six innings. All nine runs the senior gave up were earned as he walked two opposing batters and struck out three.

Cameron struck first in game two as Schiewe drove in
Luke Hughes on a RBI groundout in the first. WT answered with 11 straight wins, one in the second, three in the third and then seven more in the fourth. The run was powered by three RBI doubles, two homers and a RBI triple.

The Aggies added another run in the fifth as
Alberto Moralobo drove in Kaaukai on a RBI single, before another RBI double in the bottom of the inning from the Buffs gave them their 12th run of the game. They then held the Black and Gold scoreless in the sixth and seventh innings to earn the run-rule victory.

Andrew Garza struck out five batters, while giving up 11 runs on 15 hits in his 3.2 innings of work.
Sean Maher pitched the final 2.1 and struck out four while giving up one run on three hits.

Adams and Schiewe led CU with three hits on the day, with Schiewe collecting two RBI. Morolobo had two hits in the second game and Kaaukai scored two of the Aggies' four runs.

Cameron is now 15-24 on the season and 5-11 in LSC play, as WT remains unbeaten in league play at 12-0 while moving to 30-7 overall.

The Aggies were scheduled to play Southern Nazarene on Tuesday, April 17, but that game has been canceled due to the chance of high wins.

CU's next scheduled series will be April 27-29 when they host Tarleton State for a four game league series. The Friday and Saturday games of the series will be the debut of the new lights at McCord Field.
