WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Cameron University men's tennis team had a strong showing on day one of competition at the ITA South Central Regional Tournament.

In the first round of singles play, five Aggies earned straight-set wins. Playing in the Round of 32, No. 6 seed Noe Milliard took down Lucas Castillo-Sanchez from St. Mary's, 6-1, 6-2, and No. 16 seed Lukas Janousek grabbed the win against Midwestern State's Jack Franlin, 6-2, 6-1 - both reaching the Round of 16
 
In the singles consolation draw, Santiago Ledesma got the win over Andrew Hunsley from UT Permian Basin, 6-3, 6-3, to move on to the Round of 16 of the consolation draw.

In the first round of the doubles draw, No. 6 seed Milliard and Janousek beat Leonardo Fabrri and Evan Walther from St. Mary's, 8-3. Ledesma and Lukas Holub grabbed the victory over Gian Rojas Rodriguez and Alexandre Sulpicy from Lubbock Christian, 8-5.
 
For the doubles Round of 16, Milliard and Janousek took down Nehal Naidoo and Jao D'Amorim from UT Permian Basin, 8-6, to advance to the quarterfinals. Ledesma and Holub fell to No. 2 seed Artiom Dorofeev and Malo Poulesquen from UT Tyler, 8-4.

In the doubles consolation draw, Lachlan Setina and Eduardo Nunez del Prado beat Philipp Gaurieder and Enrique Silveira from UT Dallas, 8-3, to stay alive in the consolation quarterfinals.

The tournament continues tomorrow morning with first serve set for 8 AM, beginning with singles play.
