Kingsville, TX – Aggies softball had a successful Sunday afternoon when they traveled to Texas A&M Kingsville. Cameron University had a dominant showing in game one of the double header with a 7-1 victory. The Aggies went on and swept the double header against the Javelinas in game two 4-0.

Cameron Softball had an offensive explosion with four runs in the seventh frame.
Key Highlights
The Aggies scored three in the third and four in the seventh for the six run victory.
Top Performers
Kelsey Creec knocked in four RBI from two hits and a triple.
Haley Gardel drove in two runs from one hit.
Pitching Power
Tinley Schmidgall pitched a complete game with three strikeouts. One unearned run scored as she only allowed five hits.
Late Game Insurance
Cameron started the scoring in the third but it was a close two run game as it went into the final frame. In their final offensive opportunity, the Aggies loaded the bases in the seventh and managed to walk in a run. Creec singled in an RBI and Gardel lined two in to score for a four run seventh inning.

The Aggies shutout Kingsville in game two for the Sunday afternoon sweep.
Top Performers
Chloe Middleton started the scoring in the second frame with an RBI hit with her 1-2 appearance.
Rylee Ross went 3-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Shiya Victoria and Kaiden Boren each scored a run.
Pitching
Storemee Reed had an incredible performance as she shutout the Javelinas bats and limited them to only one hit. She struck out twelve out of the 25 batters faced.
Offensive Consistency
The Aggies repeated their seventh inning offensive scoring that occurred in the first matchup. Cameron scored three in the final frame to add cushion for the bottom of the seventh.
Cameron softball's next matchup will be at Oklahoma Christian University on Friday, April 4th. On Sunday, April 6th the Eagles will follow the Aggies back to Lawton for a double header at McMahon Field.
