Richardson, Texas — With one week before the 2025 cross country season kicks off, the Lone Star Conference released the Women's Cross Country Preseason Poll and named runners to watch.
Noa Aguilera-Duarte and Marie Sommer were named runners to watch as the Aggies clocked in at seventh-place, tied with UT Tyler at 308 points. The 2024 LSC Cross Country champion, West Texas A&M, was picked to repeat, receiving 510 points and 30 first-place votes. They were followed by Dallas Baptist University in second-place with 472 points and two first-place votes. Midwestern State finished in the top three with 424 points.
Aguilera-Duarte is a freshman from Mijas, Spain. She joins the Aggies for her first season .
Sommer, a grad student from Münster, Germany, will start her second season with the Aggies. She finished in 23rd place at the 2024 LSC Cross Country Championships.
The 2025 cross country season for Aggies will start on September 5th with the Aggie Duels on their home course in Lawton, OK.
