Lawton, OK - No. 37-ranked Cameron University Men's tennis team swept McKendree University on Wednesday afternoon, 7-0.
The Aggies started off doubles with a 6-0 win on the No. 1 court from the No. 4-ranked doubles pair of Lukas Janousek and Noe Milliard. On the No. 2 court, Santiago Ledesma and Abubakari Yakubu-Lea picked up a 6-3 victory to clinch the doubles point for Cameron. Freshman Tom Debonne and Zoheir Fardoun claimed a 7-5 win on the No. 3 court to complete the sweep in doubles play.
In singles play, No. 4-ranked Lukas Janousek earned a 6-3, 6-0 win over Bendix Schroeder from McKendree on the No. 1 court. On the No. 2 court, No. 73-ranked Noe Milliard defeated Ignacio Paolini, 6-0, 6-2, to put Cameron up 3-0 in the match. Abubakari Yakubu-Lea picked up a straight-set victory on the No. 4 court to clinch match point for the Aggies. On the No. 3 court, Santiago Ledesma picked up the 6-1, 6-1 win over McKendree's Luka Kalenic. Freshman Tom Debonne and Zoheir Fardoun earned straight-set wins on the No. 5 and No. 6 courts, respectively, to wrap up the match and complete the sweep for Cameron.
