Lawton, OK -  The Cameron University softball team fell to No. 8 Angelo State University to extra innings and dropped a close game, 3-1 on Friday afternoon. In the first game, ASU struck first, scoring one run in the top of the third inning. Cameron responded with 3 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning off of two doubles and an RBI single to take the lead. In the top of the fifth the Rambelles answered with 3 runs to take back the lead. The Aggies tied the game again with an RBI single from Ashdyn Fulfer in the bottom of the sixth inning. In extra innings, ASU went back on top after scoring 2 runs in the top of the ninth and closed the game out defensively for the win. The second game was a defensive battle, with each team only recording 5 hits. Angelo State got on the board first with a two-run home run in the top of the first inning. Kyndel McDaniel responded in the bottom of the second inning with a solo home run to cut the deficit to one run for the Aggies. The Rambelles added on a run in the top of the fifth inning to go up two runs and would go on to defensively close out the game for the win.
