Lubbock, Texas - The Cameron University softball team captured both games of the doubleheader on the road Friday afternoon against Lubbock Christian University.

In game one, the Cameron University softball team got on the board first with a run in the top of the second inning. Kyndel McDaniel hit a two-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to give Cameron the 3-0 lead. Luubbock Christian scored a run in the bottom of the fourth and the bottom of the sixth to cut into the Aggie lead. Haley Gardella hit an RBI-single in the top of the seventh to put Cameron up two runs. Stormee Reed closed out the game and secured the pitching win and the game victory.

In game two, Cameron also struck first, plating a run off an RBI-single from Kyndel McDaniel in the top of the first inning. In the top of the second inning the Aggie bats got going, scoring four runs, off a 3-RBI double from Haley Gardella and an RBI-single from Rylee Ross. Camryn Hunkins extended the lead in the top of the third inning with an RBI-single to make it a 6-0 game. Lubbock Christian scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but the rally came up short and Cameron secured the sweep.
