2014 (Junior): Was 6-13 with five runs scored and an RBI in the NWMSU series (2/14-15)... Went 5-11 in the Texas A&M-Kingsville series(3/7-8) and had an RBI and a run... Went 3-5 with two runs scored in game two against Tarleton State (3/14)... Was 1-3 with a run scored in game one and 2-3 with two RBI in game three of the ENMU series (3/21-22)... In the West Texas series(3/28-30) he went 5-16 with six RBIs and three home runs... Went 3-4 against SWOSU(4/1) with two runs and an RBI... Hit a grand slam and scored three runs in the A&M-Kingsville series(4/11-12)... Went 2-3 with three runs and three RBI against SWOSU(4/15)... Had three RBI and hit 4-13 in four games against Tarleton State(4/18-19)... Went 3-12 from the plate and scored two runs against ENMU(4/25-26)... Led the Aggies to a 2-1 series win over West Texas (5/2-3), going 7-13, scoring seven runs, driving in nine RBI, and in game three, he tied an LSC record for most homeruns in a game with three...Named LSC Hitter of the Week (5/5).

Texas (Sophomore): Played in 18 games for the Longhorns in 2013, started 16… Had a .978 fielding percentage with 163 putouts, 14 assists, and only four errors.

Eastern Oklahoma State (Freshman): He played in 59 games, batting .276 (53-for-192) with seven doubles, three triples, eight home runs, 33 RBI and four stolen bases for the Mountaineers.

High School: McElroy played for his father, Joe, at Chattanooga (Okla.) High ... earned Louisville Slugger All-America first team and all-state honors ... hit .578 in his senior season with 10 doubles, 15 home runs and 52 RBI ... as a junior, batting .545 with 17 doubles, four home runs and 50 RBI ... also played on the basketball team and earned preseason all-state first team honors.
