Biography
2018 (Senior): The fourth year senior had one of his best seasons at CU in 2018, starting in 46 of the team's 47 games. Williams hit .278 with 24 runs scored, 14 doubles, seven homers, and 36 RBI (he ranked in the top-10 in the LSC in homers and doubles). He posted a sluigging percentage of .494 and walked 19 times, while also recording a .977 fielding percentage with 199 putouts, 11 assists, and six runners caught stealing as Cameron's main catcher. Williams led CU with nine multi-RBI games, including one game with three, four, and five RBI each. Went 3-4 with two RBI and two runs scored at Southwestern Oklahoma (2/3), 3-5 with six RBI against Northwestern Oklahoma (3/13), and had a grandslam against UT Permian Basin (4/9). Williams' performance in 2018 earned him an honorable mention All-LSC honor.Â
2017 (R-Junior): Williams played in 40 of CU's 50 games and started in 36 of those. He hit .230 with 19 runs scored and 26 RBI, while hitting four homers and 11 doubles. As CU's main catcher, the junior posted a .995 fielding percentage with 188 putouts and nine assists; the team was 22-7 with him behind the plate. Williams' best game came against Texas A&M-International on March 3 when he went 3-5 with two runs scored and three RBI.Â
2016 (R-Sophomore): In the win over #19 SAU, he went 1-4 at the plate and had 1 RBI and scored once... He went 3-9 at the plate against SNU (2/12-2/13), with 2 HR, 1 double and scored 4 runs... In the series sweep over William Jewell (2/19-21), he went 5-11 at the plate with 2 RBIs, 1 Homerun, 1 double, scoring 3 runs, and 2 walks... In the win over Kingsville (3/6), he hit a 3 run homerun... In the series against Angelo (3/24-3/26), he went 5-12 at the plate with 4 doubles, 1 RBI, 1 homerun and 4 runs scored... In the series against Kingsville (4/8-4/9), he had 1 double, 1 RBI and 4 runs scored... Against Tarleton State (4/23-24), he went 3-11 at the plate hitting 2 homeruns, a double, had 3 RBIs, and had 3 runs scored.
2015: Redshirt the entire season due to injury.Â
2014 (Freshman): Got his first hit as an Aggie against Texas Permian Basin (2/9)... Went 2-4 with an RBI in game two of the Kingsville series... Had his second two hit game against Eastern New Mexico (4/26), going 2-4 with an RBI... Aided the Aggies get a 2-1 series win against West Texas A&M (5/2-3) going 6-12 with four RBI, and three runs scored.
Personal: Son of Timmy and Sonya Williams... Lettered in baseball and football at Mustang High School.
