Softball Aggies Drop Pair of Games at Southeastern Tournament

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 DURANT, Okla. – The Cameron Aggies softball team (1-9) was unable to get back to its winning ways during the opening day of the Southeastern Tournament hosted by Southeastern Oklahoma.

The Aggies dropped their opening game to the University of Nebraska-Omaha 5-0 and were defeated by Washburn (Kansas) 3-0.

Game one was knotted at all zeros until the bottom of the fourth when the Mavs exploded for all five of their runs including a two-run shot from Amber Lutmer.

Cameron was unable to produce any runs the rest of the way. Drew Wright was 2-for-3 including a double in the top of the seventh.

In game two, the scoring from Washburn was a bit more spread out as they put up single runs in second, third and fifth innings.

Meca Chambers was 1-of-2 from the plate with a double.

Carrie Harvey (1-4) was tagged with the loss in game one while Kelsey Hebert (0-3) was handed the loss in game two.

The Aggies are back on the diamond tomorrow when they face Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State. First pitch against Ouachita is scheduled for 2 p.m.
